Zircuitstaking withdrawals: Zircuit vs partners
Updated on
Zircuit allows withdrawals from its Ethereum-mainnet staking contract without a Zircuit lockup or withdrawal period. Providers of liquid staking tokens (LSTs) and liquid restaking tokens (LRTs) may impose separate withdrawal periods.
- Applicable deposit
- Compatible assets deposited in the Ethereum-mainnet staking contract described in Zircuit's LST/LRT Liquidity Hub documentation.
- Accrued rewards
- Depositors retain Zircuit rewards earned up to withdrawal. The staking interface also says earned points and yield are kept.
What Zircuit's withdrawal terms cover
An LST can remain transferable while its underlying staked asset is locked. Leaving a Zircuit deposit and completing the token provider's withdrawal process can therefore involve different waiting requirements.
The absence of a Zircuit withdrawal period doesn't guarantee immediate transaction confirmation or a fixed overall exit time. A separate partner period may still affect an exit that requires that partner's withdrawal process.
The app lists L1 staking, L2 staking, and the Liquidity Hub separately. The Ethereum-mainnet staking terms don't establish waiting periods or completion guarantees for L2 staking withdrawals or bridge transfers.
Example: Two withdrawal goals for the same LST
In this hypothetical comparison, two holders have the same compatible LST deposited in Zircuit's Ethereum-mainnet staking contract. Both want to withdraw from Zircuit, and the LST provider hypothetically requires a withdrawal period.
| Exit goal | Effect of the waiting rules |
|---|---|
| Retain the LST after withdrawing from Zircuit | This goal doesn't require the provider's withdrawal process. No Zircuit staking lockup or withdrawal period applies under the Ethereum-mainnet staking terms. |
| Also complete the LST provider's withdrawal process | The provider's hypothetical waiting period still applies to its withdrawal process. Withdrawing from Zircuit doesn't complete that additional withdrawal. |
